The Eclipse Spherical is both the fastest road helmet and the coolest aero road helmet Giro has ever created, bringing our best technologies together in a light, compact form that's ideal for road and gravel racing. The sleek outer shell actively streamlines airflow to reduce drag across multiple wind angles, while 14 Wind Tunnel vents pull air through the helmet to provide incredible cooling power that rivals our most aggressively vented road helmets. Inside, the ball-and-socket design of Spherical Technology is powered by the MIPS brain protection system, which allows the helmet's outer EPS foam liner to rotate around the inner foam liner during a crash to help redirect impact forces away from the brain. Progressive Layering of both the inner and outer liners help to offer more comprehensive protection, too. The patented Roc Loc 5 Air system enhances stability and fit, and plush antimicrobial Ionic+ padding helps absorb sweat and moisture while providing durable antimicrobial performance.

Its compact shape offers deep, confident coverage, and the Roc Loc Air fit system boosts ventilation while improving fit. In addition to this helmet’s already impressive cooling power, it’s outfitted with a hydrophilic, anti-microbial brow pad that can absorb up to ten times its weight in sweat. Giro designed the Montara MIPS to have full goggle integration, with strap grippers on the back of the helmet, and a P.O.V. Plus visor that allows you to lift the visor and place your goggles on the front of the helmet. Yet another great feature is the breakaway camera mount integration – a clever interface for your favorite light or camera.

This versatile helmet boasts the same "All-Rounder" ethos and slim profile of XR Spherical and features Mips Evolve for impact protection in certain crashes. To top it off, the Falcon XR Mips is compatible with our custom Blackburn Grid COB rear LED light that integrates seamlessly into the large rear vent.
