The 612 ERGOWAVE® active 2.1 is the sporty road bike and mountain bike race saddle. The wave-like shape and the raised tail of the saddle ensure perfect rear support and optimum pressure distribution down to the deep structures of the body, which significantly improves power transmission to the pedal. The lowered nose in combination with the recess in the middle creates more space and clearance for the perineal area for women and men. Many small detail improvements in shape, technology and material raise the 612 ERGOWAVE® active 2.1 to a new level. The 612 ERGOWAVE® active 2.1 is equipped with the active technology with a softer and lighter movement with less weight. The SQlab active saddle technology allows the saddle to follow the pedalling movement, which increases comfort, mobilises the intervertebral discs and minimises pressure on the sit bones.

The 612 Ergowave S-Tube Saddle was specifically designed to accommodate the requirements of both competitive and leisure cyclists both on the road or mountain bike. The wave-like shape and raised rear section provide perfect rearward support and an optimal pressure distribution which reaches deep into the body structures for improved power transmission. The lowered nose, in combination with the dip, provides optimal pressure relief for the perineal area. The flat but slim SQlab MaxContact saddle nose and the firm padding of the 612 were both specifically designed for the needs on the road bike. The saddle rails on the non-active versions have been placed slightly closer together to allow for a more flexible shell which mimics the SQlab active technology and allows the saddle shell to follow the biomechanical motion when pedaling. This results in increased comfort, mobilization of the spinal discs, and reduced pressure to the sit bones. - Length: 275mm

The 612-R offers more performance based ergonomics from 150 g. The raised rear gives more grip and better power transmission. A big advantage on straight roads and especially uphill. The stronger narrower mid-section and the narrow saddle nose gives more legroom. The proven SQlab ERGOWAVE form relieves the soft tissue area and prevents energy-consuming bad posture. The saddle shell is weight and flex optimized down to the last detail. More longitudinal stiffness and perfectly coordinated material flex to the side mean more comfort with less weight at the same time. The cover is extremely light but also abrasion-resistant and non-slip. The padding is closed-cell and strongly minimized. The comfort comes from the shape and the flex behavior between rail, shell and foam, which is coordinated as an overall system.
